Sydney Sports Lighting recently completed a major sports lighting upgrade at Heffron Tennis Centre in Matraville, delivering improved performance, compliance, and energy-efficient lighting across multiple courts.

The project involved the supply and installation of 1200W Schreder Raptor LED sports lighting fittings, mounted at 12 metres high, providing high-performance illumination across multiple tennis courts and newly constructed pickleball courts.

As part of the upgrade, the team carefully removed the outdated light fittings and LED drivers, ensuring they were responsibly recycled through licensed metal recyclers in line with environmentally conscious disposal practices.

To ensure the installation met required lighting standards, night-time aiming and lux testing were completed following installation, with compliance certification provided upon project completion.

This upgrade has significantly enhanced the facility’s night-time playability, visibility, and energy efficiency, supporting both tennis and the growing popularity of pickleball at this busy community sporting venue.
